In Memory Of...
Occasionally we learn of news that a former NCRM missionary or church member from North Carolina has passed away. This page is dedicated to the memory of these people.
Allan, Trysta
Served in the NCRM from 1995 to 1996, and was killed in a car accident in July 1997 along with her two sisters.
Bevan, Erik Adam
Served in the NCRM from 1999 to 2001. He was killed in a car accident on November 6, 2002.
Brodin, Eric
Church member from the Dunn Ward. Passed away in July 2004. Bro. Brodin loved to feed the missionaries and was well known by those that served in the area.
Butler, Kaiwah
Served in the NCRM from 1999 to 2000. He was killed in an car accident in Salt Lake City, UT in 2001.
Hamner, T. Sterling Shawn, Sr.
Passed away on May 4, 2000, at the Huntsman Center, University Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT of complications from Leukemia.

Hodges, Craig Alan Hodges
Elder Craig Hodges passed away on January 18, 2004. He served in the NCRM in 1981 and 1982.
Holzendorf, Barbara
Sister Holzendorf passed away on May 1, 2002. She was killed in a car accident while serving her mission in Whiteville, NC.
Lehman, Boyce
Served in North Carolina 1983 to 1984. Passed away September 8, 2006 from a hunting accident near Mount St. Helens. Additional detail can be found here.
Millard, Dale
Passed away on December 24, 2004. Dale Served in the NCRM between 1998 and 2000. Please forward any stories or other comments to Dale's wife, Lisa_Emilie@hotmail.com.
Peterson, Melissa
Passed away on January 21, 2000. Sister Peterson was killed in a car accident while serving her mission.
Pulley, Steven
Served in the NCRM from 1985 to 1987. Passed away in October 2000. Please contact Quinn Christensen for more information.
Pusey, Jade
Served in the NCRM in the early 1990's. Passed away on January 29, 2005. In 2003, Jade was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumors, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. More information can be found on his website - www.jadepusey.com, and on the Salt Lake Tribune web site.
Ricks, Jeremy
Passed away in a car accident in the Fall of 2001. Jeremy left behind a wife and a daughter. The following comes from Jeremy's mother: "As Jeremys daughter is very young and will not have many memories of her father we compiled a book for her of memories about him from people who knew him. If any of his missionary associates or companions would like to write a remembrance for her they can send it to us on email." Jeremy's family can be reached at lonricks@juno.com.
Stokes, Eleda Vee Smith
Wife of President Stokes (1983-1986). Passed away November 13, 2004. Her obituary can be found here.
Thurgood, Lucy
Served with her husband in the mission office under President Welch. She passed away in September, 2004 after a long bout with cancer.
Woodrum, Todd L.
Served in the mission around 1982 or 1983. Todd passed away in October 1989 following a construction accident in Las Vegas, NV.
